About Daisy Chains

Familiar faces

Your child's key person

Each child is assigned a key person who takes responsibility for getting to know their interests, routines and needs, while also building a close relationship with you.

Our buddy system means that if your child's key person is away, someone who already knows them well steps in, helping provide familiarity and continuity throughout their time at nursery.

Parents stay connected

Keeping you in the loop

We use eyLog, a secure digital learning journal, to help keep you connected with your child's time at nursery.

You'll receive occasional reports and updates sharing your child's experiences, development and progress. We also arrange parent meetings from time to time so there is space to talk through progress, next steps and anything you would like to discuss.

These updates and conversations help keep nursery and home connected, with your child's learning and wellbeing at the centre of the partnership.

Nursery life at Daisy Chains
Everyday independence

Mealtimes with purpose

Children bring a packed lunch from home, and we provide snacks during the nursery day. Snack and mealtime routines are treated as meaningful parts of children's everyday learning.

In conjunction with our curriculum, children are encouraged to help prepare snacks and food, take responsibility for their own dishes and wash up using a washing-up bowl and drying rack. These simple routines help build practical skills, confidence and independence.
